What the system had to solve
Reading teams need to work quickly and consistently across properties, meters, and service accounts. The system connects field capture with administration, billing, collections, tariffs, tickets, and reporting while preserving a reliable record of what was observed and when.

Module structure
Capture meter numbers, reading values, timestamps, and photographic evidence with a workflow designed for field operators.
Keep pending readings and images on the device so work can continue without a stable connection and synchronize when service returns.
Manage meters, departments, account relationships, users, roles, tariffs, and operational configuration from a centralized system.
Support charges, payments, accounts receivable, cash operations, discounts, adjustments, and delinquency follow-up.
Track incidents and requests with status, assignments, supporting information, and traceable follow-up.
Generate operational reports and printable documents while preserving the image and data context behind each reading.
Engineering improvements
The implementation separates presentation, application, domain, and infrastructure responsibilities so new operational rules can evolve without coupling every screen to the database. Validation, image services, authentication, reporting, and logging make the platform more dependable for daily use.
This project demonstrates the ability to translate a field-service process into a layered enterprise application: resilient data capture, evidence handling, transactional records, billing workflows, role-aware access, and reporting in one system.
Operational context
The platform supports the Centro Universitario de Valladolid in Valladolid, Yucatán, Mexico, connecting technical meter operations with the administrative processes required to manage a utility service.
